Action Items

Renewal of Institutional Accreditation: Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. Your Committee recommends that the Board of Regents renew the institutional accreditation of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory for a period of seven years, with the provision that required annual reports address the recommendations in the compliance review report.

MOTION FOR ACTION BY FULL BOARD

Madam Chancellor and Colleagues: Your Higher Education Committee recommends, and we move, that the Board of Regents act affirmatively upon each recommendation in the written report of the Committee’s deliberations at its meeting on September 16, 2014, copies of which have been distributed to each member of the Board of Regents.

Other matters not requiring action:

Update on the Test Security Unit and the status of test security matters in New York State.
Your Committee received an update on the progress of the Test Security Unit (TSU). The presentation included a review of the TSU’s operations, the work that it has done during the two years since it became fully operational in August of 2012, and the current status of test security matters in New York State.
