Report of Regents Adult Career and Continuing Education Services (ACCES) Committee to The Board of Regents

Your Adult Career and Continuing Education Services (ACCES) Committee held its scheduled meeting on April 11, 2022.  All members were present, except for Regent Collins and Regent Hakanson, who were excused.

ACTION ITEM

Proposed Amendment of Section 100.7(a) of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to the General Comprehensive Examination Sub-tests and Grandfathering of Prior Passing Scores – Your Committee recommends that the Board of Regents approve the proposed amendments to section 100.7(a)(2)(d)(ii) of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education relating to continued acceptance of passing scores from prior high school equivalency exam sub-tests.  The regulatory changes will ensure that passage of subtests taken as part of the Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) count toward achieving a high school equivalency diploma. 

The motion passed.

Your ACCES Committee recommends, and we move, that the Board of Regents act affirmatively upon this recommendation in the written report of the Committee's deliberations at its meeting on April 12, 2022, copies of which have been distributed to each Regent.
