Renewal to a Charter School Authorized by Chancellor of the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE)- Department staff will present a NYC DOE Chancellor recommendation for charter school renewal
Charter Schools: Initial Applications Authorized by the Board of Regents- Department staff will make a recommendation on the issuance of an initial provisional charter.
Proposed Amendment to §175.2 and 175.5 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to the Minimum Instruction Requirement for State Aid- Department staff will present an amendment to §175.5 of the Commissioners regulations concerning the minimum instructional time required for state aid purposes.
Proposed Emergency Adoption of Amendments to Sections 100.2(ff), 100.2(m), 100.18, 100.19, and Part 120 of the Commissioner’s Regulations and the Addition of a new Section 100.21 of the Commissioner’s Regulations Relating to the implementation of the State’s Approved Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Plan- Department staff will present amendments to §100.2(ff), §100.2(m), §100.18, §100.19 and Part 120 of the Commissioner’s regulations and the addition of a new §100.21 of the Commissioner’s regulations relating to the implementation of the State’s approved ESSA Plan.
Update on the Rollout of the NYS Learning Standards and Assessments for the Arts and the Arts Pathway- Department staff will update the Board of Regents regarding progress towards establishing an Arts Pathway.

Proposed Addition of §64.9 to the Commissioner’s Regulations Relating to Advanced Home Health Aides- Department staff will present a proposed addition of §64.9 to the Commissioner’s regulations relating to advanced home health aides.

Initial Institutional Accreditation: Long Island Business Institute- Department staff will present the recommendation of the Regents Advisory Council on Institutional Accreditation concerning the application by LIBI for initial accreditation by the Board of Regents.
Proposed Amendment to Section 80-1.5 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to the Extension of the edTPA Safety Net for Candidates Who Receive a Failing Score on the Library Specialist edTPA- Department staff will present proposed regulation amendments to extend the edTPA safety net expiration date for candidates who receive a failing score on the Library Specialist edTPA from July 1, 2018 to September 30, 2019 while SCALE revises the edTPA Library Specialist handbook.
Proposed Amendment to §80-1.5 Relating to Reinstatement of the Educational Technology Specialist Content Specialty Test Safety Net- Department staff will present proposed regulation amendments to reinstate the Educational Technology Specialist safety net until June 30, 2019 while the Department works with the field to make any necessary changes to the redeveloped Educational Technology Specialist content specialty test.

State Archives Programs for Local Government Records Management- State Archives staff will provide an overview of the program and report on its impact as well as the challenges presented by modern technologies.
2018 Statewide Summer Reading Program- State Library staff will highlight plans for the upcoming statewide 2018 Summer Reading at New York Libraries Program.
