DISSOLUTION OF CHARTER

No. 1

THE MARK TWAIN MUSEUM OF BUFFALO

Buffalo, Erie County

A provisional charter was granted to this corporation by action of the Board of Regents on April 4, 2000 to operate a museum.  The board of trustees has petitioned the Board of Regents for the dissolution of the charter as there is not sufficient financial support to firmly establish and operate the corporation.  All taxes payable by the corporation have been paid. The trustees request Regents approval of the distribution of the remaining assets of the corporation to The Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society, a not-for-profit corporation.  The Office of Cultural Education recommends that the provisional charter of The Mark Twain Museum of Buffalo be dissolved and that its assets be distributed to The Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society.
