Update on Progress for the Office of Professions Modernization Program, The Multi-Year, Multi-Project Program to Modernize All Licensing and Renewal Activity for Title VIII Professionals in New York State - Department staff will present information to the Board of Regents regarding progress on the OP Modernization Program’s four projects and how the Modernization Program will improve the licensure process for professionals throughout New York State and enhance OP’s oversight and customer service across more than 50 professions.
The Role of the Professional Assistance Program in Assisting Licensed Professionals with Alcohol and Substance Abuse Problems - Department staff will present updated information to the Board of Regents regarding how the PAP protects the public and serves professionals. Department staff will also present information regarding the New York State Department of Health, Office of Professional Medical Conduct’s professional assistance program for physicians.

Supporting the Whole Child in a Pandemic - Department staff will present on guidance, initiatives, and collaborations undertaken to support students, their families and their school communities in response to the pandemic and new law. A representative of the School Mental Health Resource Center will present regarding its response to the increased need for mental health and trauma related supports since the pandemic.

2021-22 Non-State Aid Budget and Legislative Priorities - Department staff will present updates to the 2021-2022 non-state aid budget and legislative initiatives.
2021-22 Conceptual Regents State Aid Proposal - Department staff will share information regarding the 2021-2022 Regents State Aid Proposal.
