Graduation Measures in New York State - Department staff will continue the discussion regarding pathways to a NYS diploma by providing an update on the Regional meetings as well as an overview of graduation requirements under Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

Renewal Recommendations for Charter Schools Authorized by the Board of Regents - Department staff will present recommendations for charter renewals.
Charter Schools: Renewals to Charters Authorized by the Trustees of the State University of New York - Department staff will present State University of New York Trustees recommendations for early charter renewals.
Renewal Recommendations for Charter Schools Authorized by the New York City Department of Education Chancellor - Department staff will present NYC DOE Chancellor recommendations for charter renewals.
Approval of the New York State (NYS) Physical Education Learning Standards (2020) - Department staff will present the draft K-12 Physical Education Standards.
Proposed Addition of Part 122 to the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to Military Ballots for School District and School District Public Library Elections, Budget, and Referenda - Department staff will present the proposed addition of Part 122 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education to conform regulations to Chapter 489 of the Laws of 2019, effective November 11, 2019, which amended the Education Law to provide military voters the opportunity to cast their ballots for election of members of the board of education and school district, public library trustees, and the adoption of the annual budget and school district public library budget and referenda.
Aligning Linguistic Demands to the Next Generation Learning Standards - Department staff will present analysis of Next Generation Learning Standards which was conducted to determine the language skills necessary for English Language Learners (ELLs) to access the academic demands of these standards as they develop English language proficiency.
Special Education Accountability System and Supports in New York State - Department staff will provide an overview of the Special Education Accountability System in New York State.
Early Childhood Blue Ribbon Committee Workforce Focus Group Additional Recommendations - Department staff will present recommendations contained in the Early Childhood Blue Ribbon Report that have not yet been presented to the Board.
Proposed Amendments to Sections 200.1 and 200.5 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to Special Education Impartial Hearing Officers and the Special Education Due Process System Procedures - Department staff will present for discussion proposed amendments to Sections 200.1 and 200.5 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education relating to special education impartial hearing officers and the special education due process system procedures.

A K-12 Educational Guide to Understanding Fort Orange and the Colonial Dutch - Presenters will discuss an educational guide created for teachers to help them introduce students to 17th century New York history and the impact of the colonial Dutch on the State’s development.
Confluence of Cultures: Educating the Public on Colonial New York - Department staff will discuss how OCE collections are used to educate the public on 17th century colonial New York and will also share plans for a future State Museum gallery that examines this important formative chapter in New York’s history and how it relates to the state we live in today.
Proposed Amendment of Section 185.5 and Addition of Section 185.15 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to Local Government Records Management - Department staff will present proposed amendments to section 185.5 and the addition of section 185.15 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education to issue a new records retention and disposition schedule for use by cities, towns, villages, fire districts, counties, school districts, boards of cooperative educational services, teacher resource and computer training centers, county vocational education and extension boards, and other local governments (Schedule LGS-1).

Proposed Amendments to Sections 145-6.2, 145-6.5, and 145-6.6 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to the Eligibility Requirements for Loan Forgiveness and Grant Programs - Department staff will present the proposed technical amendments to revise the eligibility language to allow undocumented candidates to apply for NYS grants, and/or loan forgiveness programs.
