January 2026 Meeting
Members of the public may attend Board of Regents meetings in person. Admission to the building will begin one hour prior to the scheduled start of the public meetings. On Monday, guests may arrive at 9:45 am. On Tuesday, guests may arrive at 9:30 am but will not have access to the meeting room until Executive Session concludes. Seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once seating is full, guests will be directed to an overflow room to view the webcast or they may view it on their personal devices.

Proposed Addition of Section 136.10 to the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to Statewide Protocols for Diapering and Toileting - Department staff will present revisions to the proposed amendment to align with the Education Law, removing the applicability of the proposed rule to programs licensed by other state agencies. Proposed Amendments to Sections 155.17 and 136.4 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to the Implementation of Desha’s Law Pertaining to AED Devices - Department staff will present amendments to these regulations pertaining to statutory changes to Desha’s Law which require the labeling of AED devices, changes to the maintenance requirements for the AED devices, and the inclusion of non-public schools in these requirements. SUNY-authorized Charter School Revision - Department staff will present a recommendation regarding a SUNY-authorized charter school. |
