The Office of Special Education/Adult Career and Continuing Education Services (SE/ACCES) Committee held its scheduled meeting on January 12, 2026. All members were present except for Regent Norwood. Chancellor Lester W. Young, Jr., Regents Frances G. Wills, Patrick A. Mannion, Seema Rivera, and Brian Krist also attended the meeting.

Adult Education Changing Lives and Communities - Deputy Commissioner Ceylane Meyers-Ruff, Amy Mazur, Literacy Buffalo Niagara, Katie LaBonte, Champlain Valley Education Services BOCES, Courtney Davis, Former Student and Administrative Assistant of Literacy Volunteers of Clinton, Essex, Franklin and Counties, Noraima Rivera, Former student and current Case Manager for HFM BOCES, and Myo Myo, Former Student presented an update on the impact adult education programs have on adult learners, their families and communities.

That concludes our report.
