Your Committee recommends that subparagraph (v) of paragraph (2) of subdivision (a) of section 200.3 and subparagraphs (iv) and (v) of paragraph (2) of subdivision (c) of section 200.5 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education relating to the Additional Parent Member of a Committee on Preschool Special Education, be amended as submitted, effective December 4, 2013. In addition to CE Committee Members, in attendance were: Chancellor Tisch, Vice Chancellor Bottar Regents Cashin, Young, Norgrove, Chapey, and Tallon as well as Commissioner King and Executive Deputy Commissioner Berlin.

Overview of Teacher Certification Standard Setting. Your Committees received an update on the implementation of new, more rigorous certification assessments. Staff described the standard setting process for the Educating All Students Test, the Academic Literacy Skills Test, and the School Building Leader assessment. Staff also discussed the charge of the NYS educator panels.
