Should the Regents approve the proposed Appointment and Reappointments of Members to the State Boards for the Professions and the proposed Appointments of Extended Members to the State Boards for the Professions for Service on Licensure Disciplinary and/or Licensure Restoration and Moral Character Panels as well as the Reappointments of Members to the Committee for Professional Assistance as listed on the attached?

 

Proposed Handling

 

            The question will come before the full Board at its June 2006 meeting where it will be voted on and action taken. 

 

Procedural History

 

            Approval of board members by the Board of Regents is required by Section 6508(4) of the Education Law.

 

Background Information

 

            Information on the proposed appointees is noted on the attachment.

 

Recommendation

 

            The Regents should approve the proposed appointments.

 

Timetable for Implementation

 

            If the Regents approve these appointments, members’ terms will go into effect as noted on the attachment.
