Report of Regents Adult Career and Continuing Education Services (ACCES) Committee to The Board of Regents

Your ACCES Committee held a meeting on October 15, 2018.  All members were present, except for Regent Norwood, who was excused.

2019 Non-State Aid Budget and Legislative Priorities

The Committee was presented with the 2019 potential Non-State Aid budget priorities for the Office of ACCES.  These priorities include: a $3 million request to fund the Bridge to College and Careers Pilot Program; a $5 million request for Independent Living Services; and, a $15 million request for Enhancing Supports and Services for Postsecondary Success of Students with Disabilities.  In addition, the committee was presented with the 2019 potential Legislative Priorities for the Office of ACCES which include Enhancing Educational Supports for Students with Disabilities pursuing Post-Secondary Study.  The committee discussed support of previous proposals and new initiatives the Committee would like to consider.
