February 2026 Meeting
Members of the public may attend Board of Regents meetings in person. Admission to the building will begin one hour prior to the scheduled start of the public meetings. On Monday, guests may arrive at 8:00 am. On Tuesday, guests may arrive at 8:30 am but will not have access to the meeting room until Executive Session concludes. Seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once seating is full, guests will be directed to an overflow room to view the webcast or they may view it on their personal devices.

Professional Practice
Proposed Amendment of Section 66.2 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to the Professional Licensing Examination for Optometry - Department staff will present proposed amendment to section 66.2 of the Commissioner’s regulations to remove outdated content for the Part III practical examination because the specific content of this examination changes over time to meet contemporary practice needs. Therefore, it is unnecessary to identify specific content for the practical examination within the regulation. The proposed amendment will also enable the Department to accept comparable examinations that have been determined by the State Board for Optometry to be satisfactory for the purposes of professional licensure. |
