            Each year at the July meeting of the Board of Regents, a resolution is approved by the full Board to permit the Standing Committees of the Board to take interim action on behalf of the Board between the July and September meetings in cases where such action is necessary.  Any interim action taken by a Standing Committee must be reported to the full Board at the September meeting.

 

            Accordingly, I recommend that you adopt the following motion:

 

VOTED, that the Standing Committees of the Board of Regents, be and they hereby are, authorized to take interim action for the Board of Regents during the period commencing on July 23, 2004 and ending on September 8, 2004 and that any such action shall be reported to the Board at its meeting on September 9-10, 2004.
