Ruth B. Turner was appointed to the New York State Board of Regents for a one-year term (March 2, 2021 - March 31, 2022) and re-elected (April 1, 2022 - March 31, 2027) as the Regent representing the 7th Judicial District. Regent Turner graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester receiving a B.S. in Social Work and a MSW from University of Buffalo. She also holds a M.S. in Ed. from SUNY Brockport. She is a licensed Clinical Social Worker who has served the profession for over 24 years.
Kathleen M. Cashin was elected by a joint session of the Legislature to the Board of Regents to a four-year term effective April 1, 2011, representing the 2nd Judicial District representing the borough of Brooklyn. She was again elected to a five-year term effective April 1, 2015.
Wade Norwood is the Chief Executive Officer of Common Ground Health (formerly the Finger Lakes Health Systems Agency). Common Ground Health is a not-for-profit community health planning agency that promotes public health in the Finger Lakes region through research, advocacy and community engagement.
Dr. Christine Cea was first elected by a joint session of the NYS Legislature to serve a five-year term as a member of the Board of Regents beginning April 1, 2009. She was re-elected for a second term beginning April 1, 2014, and is currently serving a third five-year term as of April 1, 2019. Dr. Cea holds the 17th seat on the board representing Staten Island’s 13th Judicial District.
Roger B. Tilles was elected to a five-year term as the Regent for the Tenth Judicial District, commencing on April 1, 2005, re-elected to a second five-year term by concurrent resolution effective April 1, 2010, and re-elected to a third five-year term effective April 1, 2015, and most recently re-elected to a fourth five year term effective April 1,2020.
