Charter Schools: Transfer Application: From the New York City Department of Education Chancellor/ Trustees of the State University of New York to the Board of Regents - Department staff will present recommendations for transfer of charter school authorizers. Proposed Amendments to Sections 100.5 and 200.4 of the Commissioner’s Regulations Relating to the Superintendent Determination Option for Certain Students with Disabilities to Graduate with a Local Diploma - Department staff will present revisions to a proposed amendment based on public comment received on Commissioner’s regulations §100.5(d) and §200.4(d). Renewal and Revision Recommendations for a Charter School Authorized by the Board of Regents - Department staff will present a recommendation for a charter school renewal. Revision to a Charter Authorized by the Board of Regents - Department staff will present a recommendation for a revision to a school’s charter. Proposed Amendment to Sections 175.2 and 175.5 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to the Minimum Instruction Requirement for State Aid - Department staff will present amendments to §175.5 of the Commissioners regulations concerning the minimum instructional time required for state aid purposes. Proposed Amendments to Sections 100.2(ff), 100.2(m), 100.18, 100.19, and Part 120 of the Commissioner’s Regulations and the Addition of a New Section 100.21 of the Commissioner’s Regulations Relating to the Implementation of the State’s Approved Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Plan - Department staff will discuss the upcoming regulations to be published for public comment. Information Privacy Program - The Chief Privacy Officer will provide an update on current activities and next steps. Update on the Workgroup to Improve Outcomes for Boys and Young Men of Color - Department staff will present an update on Workgroup activities. |

Proposed Amendment to Sections 90.2 and 90.16 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education to Update and Clarify Terminology Relating to Standards for Registration of Public, Free Association and Indian Libraries and to Implement Education Law Section 273(7), as amended by Chapter 362 of the Laws of 2013 Relating to the Conservation and Preservation of Library Research Materials - State Library staff will discuss proposed amendments to the Commissioner’s regulations. |

Proposed Amendment to Section 80-4.3 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to Grade-Level Extensions for Certain Candidates Who Hold a Students with Disabilities Generalist Teaching Certificate - Department staff will present a revised version of the proposed amendment to the Commissioner’s regulations. Amendment to Subpart 80-3 and Section 80-4.3 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education Relating to the Creation of Limited Extensions for Teachers Holding a Students with Disabilities Generalist Certificate Who Teach a Special Class in Grades 7-12 and a Statement of Continued Eligibility for Teachers Holding a Students with Disabilities Generalist Certificate Who Teach a Special Class in Grades 7-12 and Were Previously Allowed to Teach in Another Content Area by School Districts Using the HOUSSE Rubric for Federal Aid Purposes under the No Child Left Behind Act - Department staff will present a proposed amendment to the Commissioner’s regulations. |
