T. Andrew Brown was first elected by a joint session of the New York State Legislature to serve a five year term effective April 1, 2012 and again for a second term effective April 1, 2017 representing the 7th Judicial District that includes the counties of Cayuga, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne and Yates.
James E. Cottrell, M.D. was elected by a joint session of the Legislature to a three-year term as an At-Large Member of the New York State Board of Regents.
Kathleen M. Cashin was elected by a joint session of the Legislature to the Board of Regents to a four-year term effective April 1, 2011, representing the 2nd Judicial District representing the borough of Brooklyn. She was again elected to a five-year term effective April 1, 2015.

In March, 2008 Dr. Young was appointed by the New York State Legislature as Regent At Large, The University of the State of New York, re-elected to a five-year term effective April 1, 2010 and again to a five-year term effective April 1, 2015. Currently, he co-chairs the Regent’s P – 12 Education Committee, and chairs the Workgroup to Improve Outcomes for Boys and Young Men of Color and the Early Childhood Workgroup.
Roger B. Tilles was elected to a five-year term as the Regent for the Tenth Judicial District, commencing on April 1, 2005, re-elected to a second five-year term by concurrent resolution effective April 1, 2010, and re-elected to a third five-year term effective April 1, 2015.
